German university gives all-clear after threat-triggered evacuation

Xinhua, February 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

German police gave all-clear on Friday following a threat-triggered evacuation in the Friedrich-Alexander-University in southern German city of Nuremberg.

Local police received in their mailbox on the morning an anonymous letter, the author of which expressed his fear that his friend could take revenge on teachers and the entire faculty, because his friend has already bought himself a weapon, local media Bavarian Radio reported.

The police evacuated the building in the university immediately. More than 1,000 people had to leave. According to a police spokeswoman, the evacuation is well-ordered.

Since nothing unusual has been found after careful search, the police went back and gave all-clear. At the moment, the investigators are still looking for witnesses. Endit
