Gremio leads race for Ecuador striker

Xinhua, February 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Brazil's Gremio are leading the race to sign Ecuador international forward Miler Bolanos, according to media reports.

China's Changchun Yatai and reigning Brazilian Serie A champions Corinthians are also interested in securing the 25-year-old, Gazeta Esportiva reported on Friday.

Bolanos was the leading scorer in Ecuador's top flight last year with 25 goals from 34 matches for Emelec.

He has 61 goals from 105 matches for the Guayaquil-based outfit, whom he joined from the now defunct US Major Soccer league club Chivas.

Bolanos has been capped 12 times for Ecuador, scoring six goals. Endit
