Galatasaray forward Burak Yilmaz joins Beijing Guoan

Xinhua, February 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Turkish Burak Yilmaz has signed a four-year deal with the Chinese club Beijing Guoan with the transfer fee of 8 million euros, the Dogan News Agency reported Friday.

West Ham United from Premier league was closely linked with the 30-year-old Galatasaray forward over the January transfer window. However, Burak will play for Guoan with an annual salary of 8 million euros.

The Trabzonspor club from Turkish super league has received 25 percent of the transfer fee as a result of a clause in his deal from the Black Sea based club to Galatasaray in 2012.

Yilmaz has scored 81 times in his last 140 games for the Istanbul giants, winning two league titles since joining in 2012 and helping his side reach the 2013 Champions League quarter-finals. Endit
