Maradona: I would give an arm to play with Tevez

Xinhua, January 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Football legend Maradona said Monday he would "give his arm" to play with Carlos Tevez at Boca Juniors.

The 1986 World Cup winner, regarded by many as the game's greatest player, posted an image on Facebook in which he and Tevez are side by side wearing Boca's traditional blue and gold uniform.

Over the image he wrote: "I would give an arm to play with Carlitos at Boca".

The post had more than 100,000 likes within hours of being published.

Tevez has scored nine goals in 17 matches since rejoining his boyhood club last June. He helped the Buenos Aires outfit win the Argentine Primera Division and the Copa Argentina double within six months of his return.

Maradona, 55, made 70 appearances and scored 35 goals for Boca during two separate spells at the club in the 1980s and 90s. Endit
