British FTSE 100 decreases 0.42 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday decreased by 0.42 percent, or 24.18 points, to 5,779.92 points.

The share price of Glencore increased by 2.24 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Compass, ARM Holdings, Shire, and Imperial Tobacco rose by 1.96 percent, 1.71 percent, 1.70 percent and 1.52 percent respectively.

Sports Direct International led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.74 percent, followed by DCC (2.63 percent), Pearson (2.33 percent), Provident Financial (2.29 percent) and Taylor Wimpey (2.23 percent). Endit
