Uganda's Mayanja appointed coach Tanzania side Simba SC

Ugandan born coach Jackson Mayanja has been appointed coach of Tanzania Premier League giants Simba SC.
Mujib Kasule, the agent who helped handle the deal told Xinhua on Thursday that Mayanja had been signed for the remaining part of the season.
"The league in Tanzania is now in the second phase and Mayanja will be assessed based on the remaining part of the League," explained Kasule.
The ex-Uganda national who also played professional football in Egypt takes over from Maltese-born English coach Dylan Kerr who was sacked last weekend following a number of poor results.
Sunday Manara, Simba SC' s head of communication told Xinhua that the executive had agreed to sack Kerr and appoint Mayanja on a interim basis.
"We know Mayanja is a good coach and we shall give him all the support," added Manara.
Kerr was in charge of Simba SC since July last year and has managed 30 games winning 19, losing five and drawing six.
Uganda national players Murushid Jjuuko and Hamis Kizza also feature for Simba SC.
The well traveled Mayanja, also former assistant coach of the Uganda national team, Cranes was head coach of another Tanzania Premier League side Coastal Union.
He previously handled URA FC and KCCA FC in Uganda and Kiyovu FC in Rwanda. Enditem
