Indonesian president visits terror attack site

Indonesian President Joko Widodo has visited the site of attack on Thursday afternoon, accompanied by some of his coordinating ministers.

The president were briefed about the location of the explosions and situation during the attacks by Coordinating Minister for Politics, Security and Legal Affairs Luhut Panjaitan.

President Widodo cut short his visit to Cirebon, West Java, soon after informed about the attack and returned to the capital city.

The president has conveyed condolences for families of the victims in the attack, ordered police and related minister to pursue and arrest the perpetrators and their networks.

Several people, consisted of civilians and police, were killed and tens other injured in the attack that took place on 10.40 a.m. Indonesian Western Time (WIB).

A police stationt was ripped off by the explosions. Fire exchange between police and attackers followed afterward. Endit
