Iranian vice president visits Algeria to boost partnership

Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri began a two-day visit to Algeria on Wednesday to boost bilateral relations.

The Iranian top official will attend the Algerian-Iranian High Joint Commission, to promote mutual cooperation in oil and gas industries, banking and tourism.

The visit would be also an opportunity for the Iranian senior official to discuss with Algerian top officials a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

Early on Tuesday, Algerian Minister for Maghreb Affairs, the African Union and the Arab League, Abdelkader Messahel, said that "Algeria and Iran share common will to promote economic cooperation."

He added that the two parties are due to ink seven agreements on the sideline of the visit of Iranian First Vice-President. Endit
