Nepal's PM vows to provide constitutionally guaranteed rights to people

Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli Thursday expressed commitment to provide Nepalese people with constitutionally guaranteed rights in full exercise.

"Nepal government has guaranteed various economic, social and cultural rights of the people as fundamental rights besides assuring the civil and political rights," the prime minister said in a message.

Regarding the ongoing agitations and political standoffs among state and ethnic minority Madhes-based parties, he said the government is trying its best to give constitutional and political outlets to the current standoffs.

The prime minister also mentioned the challenges the Nepal government is facing owing to disruption of the supply of petroleum products and essential goods at border areas with India. Endite
