A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off eastern Indonesia on Saturday, but no tsunami alert was issued, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.

The quake, which jolted at 16:06 p.m. Jakarta time (0906 GMT), was centered 129 km northwest Maluku Tenggara Barat of Maluku province with a depth of 78 km under sea bed, an official of the agency told Xinhua.

The U.S. Geological Survey measured the tremor at 6.1 magnitude. Endit
