Brazil coach Dunga has called up uncapped Atletico Mineiro defender Jemerson for the team's home World Cup qualifier against Peru in Salvador on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old replaces David Luiz, who is suspended after being sent off in Brazil's 1-1 draw with Argentina in Buenos Aires on Friday.

Jemerson, has made more than 100 appearances for Atletico, and was part of the team that won the 2013 Copa Libertadores - South America's top club competition.

Despite his call-up, he is unlikely to be given a starting berth at the Fonte Nova arena on Tuesday.

Dunga is expected to entrust Corinthians center-back Gil to play alongside Miranda at the heart of Brazil's defence.  Endi
