China, U.S. to hold annual talks on trade

China and the United States will hold their annual talks on commerce and trade in Guangzhou, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced on Friday.

The 26th Session of the China-U.S. Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT) is slated for Nov. 21 to 23, spokesman Hong Lei said at a routine press briefing.

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and Trade Representative Michael Froman will co-chair the talks. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will attend the JCCT,

Hong said.

The two sides will discuss important economic and trade issues, as well as how to expand cooperation based on the outcomes of Chinese President Xi Jinping's U.S. visit this September. Endi
