Singapore stocks close 1.13 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 33.33 points, or 1.13 percent, to close at 2,925.68.

A total of 1.38 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.10 billion Singapore dollars (770.56 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 291 to 119, while 522 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 22.58 points, or 0.76 percent, to close at 2,959.01 on Thursday. Endit
