French stock market index down 1.94 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 finished the trading day with a decrease of 1.94 percent to close at 4,856.65 points on Thursday, down 95.86 points.

Due to the drop of petroleum price, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Thursday with 38 of the 40 selected stocks experiencing decrease.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Thursday were ArcelorMittal, down 6.24 percent, Airbus Group, down 3.74 percent, and Safran, down 3.45 percent.

The only two gainers on Thursday were Engie, up 1.51 percent, and Capgemini, up 0.02 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 0.82 percent to close at 4,952.51 points, up 40.35 points. Enditem
