Chinese stocks opened mixed Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edging down 0.86 percent to open at 3,292.29 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.05 percent higher at 10,921.18 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 0.44 percent higher at 2,355.16 points. Endi
