3 Burkinabe gendarmes killed in Burkina Faso attack

Three gendarmes were killed and four other people injured after unknown attackers on Thursday raided a constable station at Samoroguan, about 500 km West to Burkina Faso's capital city of Ouagadougou, local security sources told Xinhua.

According to local security source on the spot, masked assailants armed with Kalashnikov launched the attack at dawn around 4am.

Reacting to this attack, Burkina Faso government expressed its sympathy to bereaved families and the Chief of general staff reassured that measures have been taken to guarantee security in the West African country. Endit
