Denmark to host European Short Course Swimming Championships in 2017

Xinhua, October 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

Copenhagen will be the site of the European Short Course Championships in 2017, the event organization announced Friday.

It will be second time in four years that the country will organize the annual tournament after hosting the 2013 edition at the Jyske Bank Boxen, one of the country's premier sporting venues, in Herning.

Pia Holmen, the head of Danish Swimming Federation, said Denmark's bid

for the championships is based upon a solid success in 2013.

"With the experiences in hosting the event in 2013, we feel well prepared to set about the task," said Holmen.

The 2017 edition will be staged in the upcoming Royal Arena in Copenhagen.
