Macedonia's CPI decreased in September

The Macedonian State Statistical Office declared on Wednesday that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in September fell by 0.2 percent, compared to the same month in 2014, whereas the Retail Price Index decreased by 1.1 percent.
The decrease of the CPI, according to the State Statistical Office, came as a result of the lower indices of food products like frozen vegetables which fell 0.7 percent, fresh milk (0.3 percent) and pasta (0.2 percent).
Compared to August, September also noticed a decrease of the indices of passenger flights by 14.7 percent, package holidays by 6.3 percent, medicines by 2.0 percent, and jewelry by 0.6 percent.
On the other hand, September 2015 registered an increase in the CPI with regard to fresh vegetables by 2.6 percent, oils and fats by 1.6 percent, fresh fruit by 0.5 percent. An increase was also noticed in the indices of hospital services by 3.2 percent, footwear by 0.3 percent, household textile and appliances by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively.
The Consumer Price Index in September 2015, in comparison with August 2015, was 99.8, while the Retail Price Index was 99.3, according to the State Statistical Office data. Enditem
