Spanish budget airline to run flights linking Malta, Catania

Spanish budget airline Volotea will be operating flights between Malta and Sicily's second-largest city Catania, commencing from March 24, 2016, according to local report.

Volotea's Commercial Country Manager Valeria Rebasti said Malta was the first international route the airline was operating to and from Catania airport.

The fights will be running on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday every week.

Commenced operations on April 5, 2012, the Barcelona-based airline Volotea currently operates 157 routes among 69 cities including Athens, Bordeaux, Dubrovnik, Mykonos, Prague and Santorini. Endit
