Police confirm four killed in Nigeria bank robbery attack

Xinhua, September 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

Police in Nigeria on Friday confirmed four people killed in a robbery operation on a new generation bank in the north-central state of Kogi, located some 233 km from the nation's capital Abuja.

Kogi State police spokesman Williams Aya said though no arrests have been made so far, the security agency was strategizing to arrest those behind the broad daylight operation.

Eyewitnesses said the gunmen who attacked the bank shot indiscriminately at bank depositors and people transacting business near the place, thereby killing two policemen and two staff of the financial institution. Endit
