Spanish stock market rises 1.74 pct, closes at 10,037 points

Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 1.74 percent on Wednesday to close at 10,037.80 points, up from the 9,866.20 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday's session, DIA shares led rises soaring 6.16 percent, followed by R.E.C., Abengoa "B", OHL, Abertis A and Mapfre that rose 3.61 percent, 3.40 percent, 3.38 percent, 2.65 percent and 2.58 percent respectively.

AENA shares also rose, inching up 0.01 percent, followed by Banco Popular, ArcelorMittal, Gamesa, Indra A and Grifols that climbed 0.51 percent, 0.61 percent, 0.75 percent, 0.75 percent and 0.94 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium stood at 140.20 points, rising slightly from the 139.10 of Tuesday, while Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 2.1 percent, showing no big variations when compared with Tuesday at closing time. Endit
