French stock market index up 4.14 pct Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 rebounded strongly by rising 4.14 percent to close at 4,564.86 points on Tuesday, up 181.40 points.

Thanks to the intervention of China's central bank and the rebound of Wall Street, the CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Tuesday with all of the 40 selected companies gaining advances.

The top three gainers on Tuesday were Alcatel-Lucent, up 7.05 percent, Renault, up 6.52 percent, and Peugeot, up 6.49 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 5.35 percent to close at 4,383.46 points, down 247.53 points. Endit
