Seoul shares open higher

Seoul shares opened higher on Tuesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index rose 8.01 points, or 0.4 percent, to trade at 2,016.50 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

The South Korean currency was quoted at 1,171.7 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m., down 5.8 won from Monday's close. Endi
