Man Utd defender Silva to join Lyon

Xinhua, August 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva will transfer to French club Lyon on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old right-back, who joined United along with his twin brother Fabio from Fluminense in 2008, started only six league games last season.

"I want to thank Manchester United fans for all the love during those eight years," the Brazilian said.

Silva made 170 appearances for Manchester United and scored five goals.

His brother Fabio left Manchester United last year to join Cardiff City. Endit
