Nepali FM to visit Maldives

Nepal's Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey is visiting the Maldives on July 26 and July 27, the Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday.

The foreign minister, who is leaving Kathmandu for the Maldivian capital Male Saturday evening, will be attending a ceremony to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Independence of the Maldives, the ministry said.

The minister will be visiting the Maldives at the invitation of Foreign Minister of the Maldives Dunya Maumoon.

Officials of the ministry told Xinhua that Pandey will hold bilateral talks with his Maldivian counterpart and call on Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen. Endi
