Guardiola plays down coaching job in Chinese club within years

Xinhua, July 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Bayern Munich manager Josep Guardiola said that his team were in good conditions, and he shrugged off future coaching job in Chinese clubs after the German giant arrived here on Wednesday.

"No, at least not the next few years," Guardiola said.

The clash against Chinese Super League defending champion Guangzhou Evergrande will be the last match of Bayern's China tour this summer. The Spaniard thought his team were in good form after two matches.

"We are very well and have no injuries, we come to China not just for adjustments."

"It is important for us to conduct the tactical work. And I am satisfied with the receptions in China," he said.

Guardiola spoke highly of the team's newcomer Douglas Costa whose stunning performance impressed Chinese football fans.

"He is a great player in one-on-one situations, we need a good winger like Douglas after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery got injured, but he still needs to fit into our team as soon as possible," he said. Endi
