CPC officials urged to meet Xi's requirement on conduct

Xinhua, July 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) must dedicate themselves to the current campaign promoting the "three stricts and three honests," according to a statement by the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department.

Focusing on officials above county level, the campaign promotes being "strict in morals, power and self-discipline" along with being "honest in decisions, business and behavior."

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, has frequently stressed the importance of the campaign to Party building.

Officials should make sure both their conduct and their work is worth of the trust of the Party and of the people. They are expected to advance the reform process and take the initiative in promoting development, said the statement.

The effectiveness of the campaign depends on officials' vision, resolve and confidence, and will be judged by real benefits of the people, it said. Endi
