Nigeria's northeast twin blasts kill 12: police

The police in restive northeast Nigeria's Borno on Tuesday confirmed the killing of 12 persons after a twin suspected suicide attacks in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Police chief in charge of the state Aderemi Opadokun told Xinhua on phone that the attack was carried out by two suspected suicide bombers on Monday.

He said the first was at the center of Baga Road fish market while the second took place at Biyok along Baga road about one kilometer to the market.

Opadokun added that the explosives was conveyed by two female suicide bombers,as 12 persons died including the bombers and many others were injured. Endi
