Late Montoya equaliser hands Colombia 1-1 draw with Mexico

Xinhua, June 10, 2015 Adjust font size:

Daniela Montoya grabbed a late equalizer to salvage a 1-1 draw for Colombia against Mexico in the Women's World Cup Group F on Tuesday.

The match also saw goalline technology used for the first time at the women's tournament, when Veronica Perez's 36th-minute shot was pushed onto the crossbar by Colombia goalkeeper Stefany Castano, which actually crossed the line.

Montoya leveled the score eight minutes from time with a strike from just outside the penalty area. Endi
