China on agenda for Real Madrid pre-season tour

Xinhua, June 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

A trip to China was on the agenda as Real Madrid announced their pre-season plans on Tuesday.

The runners up in the Spanish BBVA Primera Liga will begin their pre-season tour in Australia with games against Roma and Manchester City in the city of Melbourne on July 18th and July 24th, before flying to China.

There the side which will be taking its first steps under the guidance of new coach, Rafa Benitez, will play Inter Milan in the Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou on Monday July 27th, before moving to Shanghai where they take on AC Milan in the Shanghai Stadium on July 30th.

Real Madrid will then return to Europe to play a four way tournament in Munich. That kicks off with a match against Tottenham Hotspurs on August 4th and with a further game against either Bayern Munich or AC Milan, who play the other semi-final in the tournament.

One traditional pre-season game which is missing off the agenda is the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy which is held every year in August, but which has recently been pushed off the agenda in favor of international tours. Endit
