China's first crowdfunding platform for environmental protection was launched on Friday.

"Drive to Green" brings together the internet, crowdfunding and environmental protection in a push for a greener lifestyle.

The project is sponsored by the China Environmental Culture Promotion Association and Shanghai General Motors Co., Ltd.

At the launch ceremony, Vice Minister of Environmental Protection Li Ganjie urged the group to raise more non-governmental funds, amass the public's experiences and ideas on environmental protection, and become a hatchery for small creative ideas.

The website of the platform is www.drivetogreen.com. Endi
