Xinhua, June 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Five Chinese officials are under investigation for allegedly accepting bribes in separate cases, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Friday.

The officials include Liu Guidong, former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of Tangshan People's Congress of Hebei province; Zhou Yiqiang, former vice chairman of Chengde City Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Hebei; and Zhang Cong, former vice president of a state-owned travel company in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Cases involving Huang Huakuan, former director of Guangxi's transportation bureau, and Zhang Hong, former vice mayor of Guangxi's Qinzhou city, will now have their cases designated to local procuratorates, which will decide if the cases should be prosecuted. Endit
