Tajikistan's triple Asian Games champion Dilshod Nazarov claimed a gold medal at the 2015 Asain Athletics Championships on Thursday when he threw 77.88 meters to win the men's hammer throw, Tajikistan's National Olympic Committee said Friday.

Ashraf Amjad Al-Saifi of Qatar grabbed the silver medal with a toss of 76.03m, while Chinese Wan Yong had bronze at 73.40m.

Nazarov, defending champion and three-times successive Asian Games gold medalist, leads the continental lists with his 79.36m throw achieved during the 54th edition of Golden Spikes IAAF World Challenge at Ostrava, the Czech republic, on May 25, 2015.

He also won tickets to the 2015 IAAF World Championships (to be held in Beijing on Aug. 22-30) and to the 2016 Rio Olympics. Endi
