Tajikistan up four places in FIFA rankings

Tajikistan's national soccer team moved up four places and was placed 139th in the recent FIFA world rankings, according to the Tajikistan Football Federation on Thursday.

Tajikistan went up one spot to 21st among the Asian teams with 173 points.

Australia, which has been drawn with Tajikistan in Group B of the 2018 World Cup qualification round 2, moved up to 63rd, Jordan remained on 103rd position, Bangladesh rose to 166th place, and Kyrgyzstan dropped 24 places to 177th.

Germany is till top one, with Belgium that has risen above Argentina to No. 2. France rose two places to No. 9 in a swap with new No. 11 Switzerland.

The next update of the FIFA rankings will be made on July 9. The July rankings will decide seedings for the 2018 World Cup qualifying draw on July 25 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Endi
