Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with a Latin American youth delegation here on Wednesday, calling for closer exchanges between Chinese and Latin American youth.

Hailing the huge potential for China-Latin America ties, Li urged youth of China and Latin American countries to enhance contact, cement understanding and friendship, and make contributions to the China-Latin America all-round cooperative partnership.

The Latin American delegates said they were willing to join with Chinese youth to boost China-Latin America friendship.

The delegation, consisting of 50 young people from 10 Latin American countries, are visiting Beijing for a young leaders training program. Endi
