Germany's benchmark DAX index closes down

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday closed down by 93.56 points.

Despite that the Greek prime minister has made some remarks about the debt negotiations, investors are still concerned and waiting for details of an agreement between Greece and its international creditors. The blue-chip index lost 0.79 percent and closed at 11,677.57 points.

Infineon Technologies AG, a semiconductor company, topped the list of risers with an increase of 3.22 percent. Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. advanced by 2.05 percent. Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA, a health care company, rose by 1.31 percent. Deutsche Boerse AG climbed by 0.92 percent and K+S Aktiengesellschaft a standard and speciality fertilizers supplier, went up by 0.44 percent.

Deutsche Post AG dropped by 3.81 percent. Bayer AG lost 2.56 percent. Allianz SE slipped by 2.33 percent. The two auto makers, Daimler AG and BMW AG St each went down by 1.83 percent and 1.76 percent.

The turnover stood at 3.54 billion euros (around 3.86 billion U.S. dollars ). Allianz SE was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 293.5 million euros. (1 euro = 1.09 U.S. dollars). Endit
