Senior official in S. China under probe

Yu Yuanhui, a member of the standing committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has been put under investigation, the top anti-graft body said Friday.

Yu, also Party secretary of Nanning, capital city of the region in south China, is being investigated for alleged "severe disciplinary and law violation," according to a statement from the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. Endi
