Company to recall 266 problematic schools buses

Xinhua, May 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

A bus manufacturing company in east China's Shandong Province said Friday that it will recall all 266 school buses sold to six provinces for quality problems.

Xia Rui, deputy general manager of Sinotruk Group Jinan Howo Bus Co.,Ltd., said the company made the decision after the State quality inspection administration confirmed on Wednesday that certain types of school buses had a safety hazard and should be recalled.

The buses were sold to Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Shandong and Heilongjiang provinces, said Xia.

"More than 50 of our school buses had received complaints over quality problems. And we sincerely apologize to our customers," he added.

Sinotruk Group Jinan Howo Bus Co.,Ltd. was established in 2009. The company started making school buses in April 2013 and had so far produced over 560. Endi
