Iran was limited to only nine points in the second set. The third set saw several ties in the beginning, but China made full use of their advantage in height by successfully blocking Iran's attack and won by 25-12.

As Fiji withdrew in the first match and the two 3-0 wins over India and Iran, China now remains undefeated in the tournament and tops Group A.

China will face the Group C runners-up Japan on Saturday night.

Japan sent their backup team to Tianjin this time since the national team will automatically play as the host in the qualifications for Rio 2016. Endi
