Chinese shares closed down on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dipped by 1.59 percent to finish at 4,308.69 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 2.19 percent to close at 14,694.95 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, shed 1.77 percent to end at 4,617.47 points. Endi
