The 2015 Global Summit of Women opens here Thursday in the largest city of Brazil, bringing over 1,000 women politicians and entrepreneurs.

The theme of the conference, "Creative Women, Creative Economies," reflects the innovation and creativity that women bring to the global marketplace.

The event provides a platform for dedicated policy-makers, business leaders and entrepreneurs to discuss some of the global concerns and exchange experiences on how to improve corporate management and the economy.

"Our goal is not only to be the basis of the economy. It is also to be leaders," Irene Natividad, president of the Global Summit of Women, said at the opening ceremony.

The 51 Chinese representatives will join their foreign counterparts in discussions about education, rights of women and economy, among other subjects. Endi
