Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived here Thursday for a visit to Kazakhstan, his second to the Central Asian country since he took office in March 2013.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday pledged cooperation with Israel's new coalition government headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on various issues including the ongoing nuclear talks with Iran.

KATHMANDU -- The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Nepal soared to 8,413 on Wednesday, the update from the Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) said.

ARISH, Egypt -- At least 21 militants were killed by the Egyptian armed forces on Wednesday during air raids on their cells in Rafah border city of North Sinai province, a security source told Xinhua.
