China stocks open lower Thursday

Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.74 percent, to open at 4,197.90.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 14,080.35, down 0.40 percent.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 0.76 percent higher at 2,824.82 points. Endi
