Dollar changes hands at lower 119 yen level in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 119 yen zone early Thursday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 119.40-42 yen compared with 119.42-52 yen in New York at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The euro fetched 1.1338-1342 dollars and 135.40-41 yen against 1.1343-1353 dollars and 135.52-62 yen in New York late Wednesday afternoon.

The Tokyo forex market was closed Wednesday for a public holiday. Endi
