Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has managed to clinch a deal with the nationalist Jewish Home party late Wednesday night, securing a new ruling coalition with a tiny majority in the 120-member parliament.

At a joint press conference, the fourth-time prime minister announced the deal, which was reached hours before the deadline to form the new government that is going to expire midnight Wednesday. (Israel-PM-Government)

ARISH, Egypt -- At least 21 militants were killed by the Egyptian armed forces on Wednesday during air raids on their cells in Rafah border city of North Sinai province, a security source told Xinhua.

The forces used Apaches in the operation which belonged to Sinai-based Al-Qaida-inspired Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis (ABM) group, the source said. (Egypt-Militants-Raids)

DAR ES SALAAM -- The United Nations said on Wednesday two Tanzanian army officers serving as UN peacekeepers were killed and 13 others were injured after they were attacked by rebels in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo).

The UN said in a statement issued in the commercial capital Dar es Salaam that four other peacekeepers were reported missing. (Tanzania-DR Congo)

BISHKEK -- Temir Sariyev was sworn in as Kyrgyz prime minister with all members of the new government present on Wednesday, two weeks after the former prime minister, Joomart Otorbayev, announced his resignation.

The new government led by Sariyev pledged allegiance to the country and its people in front of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev and the parliament. (Kyrgyzstan-PM)

TBILISI -- Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili on Wednesday sent the new composition of the government to the parliament for approval after days of delay, local media reported.
