Hungary dominate 1st World Police Service Pistol Shooting Championship

Hungarians dominated the 1st World Police Service Pistol Shooting Championship in Budapest on Wednesday, winning three of the four gold medals.
Hungary' s Gyorgy Batki topped the men' s ranks in the individuals, completing the 12 stages in 10 minutes and 25.30 seconds. He finished ahead of 2nd placed Radim Maderanek of the Czech Republic whose time was 11 minutes and 11.36 seconds, and 3rd place Marian Fedor of Slovakia, whose time was 13 minutes and 59.17 seconds.
Among the women, Hungarians took all three top slots. Timea Salamon finished in 14 minutes and 55.20 seconds ahead of Beatrix Czibrik' s 22 minutes and 25.32 seconds and Eniko Kremniczki' s 28 minutes and 43.87 seconds.
Hungary' s women' s team won the gold medal, Bahrain' s women' s team took the silver medal, while Lebanon' s women team earned the bronze medal.
The Czech Republic' s men' s team claimed the gold medal, followed by Hungary and Slovakia in second and third places.
There were 60 individual competitors among the men and 16 among the women. They were from 16 countries. A total of 14 men' s four-person teams and 4 women' s teams competed in the contest.
The Championship opened on Tuesday. The contest was designed to emulate situations that police have to face in the course of duty. In all there were 12 such situations, each set up with a different shooting course. Endi
