An Indian navy vessel on Tuesday evacuated 74 evacuees, mostly Indians, from Yemen, the last batch of people being evacuated from the war-torn country by India, said local media.

Navy vessel INS Yakarsh sailed out of Al Hudaydah Tuesday evening with 74 evacuated people onboard and will reach Djibouti on Wednesday.

Apart from thousands of its nationals stranded in Yemen, India has so far evacuated a total of 232 foreigners of 26 countries including United States, Britain, France and Sweden, Foreign Ministry spokesman Syed Akbaruddin said.

By Tuesday night, a total of 4,000 people have been evacuated by Indian navy, air force and Air India planes. Endi
