3 Tunisian soldiers killed in terrorist ambush

Xinhua, April 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Three Tunisian soldiers were killed and three more injured in an ambush set by terrorists in Kasserine near the Algerian borders, state news agency TAP reported.

An army patrol was targeted by a group of terrorists, 10 kilometers away from the Sebitla barracks, in the Kasserine region, TAP said, citing sources from the Ministry of Defense.

Security forces from the army and national guards are sweeping the area in search for the perpetrators behind the attack.

Reports said two of the injured soldiers are in a critical condition. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

On March 18, two terrorists launched an attack on the Bardo Museum in Tunis, leaving 20 tourists and one police officer dead and 47 others wounded. The Islamic State group later claimed responsibility for the attack. Endit
