Sweden will continue to fully support Albania in its European agenda advancing, Swedish Parliament Speaker Urban Ahlin said during the joint press conference with Albanian Speaker Ilir Meta following their meeting on Tuesday.

Ahlin noted the progress made during these 20 years in Albania, stressing that despite colors of political parties, Albania has made a great work to get up here while he reassured that Albania will have the support of Sweden in its progress.

"Sweden is very pleased that Albania plays a constructive role in the Balkan region. Sweden is also very interested in further expansion of the EU and will continue to walk on this path," Ahlin said.

"We have no restrictions for this and we really want to see an enlarged Europe, but membership does not come easy, as conditions must be met. The more we support the EU membership of the countries, the more we seek fulfillment of the criteria for membership," said the Swedish speaker.

Meta expressed commitment to strengthening cooperation between the two countries, praising the Swedish support in the process of European integration of Albania. Endit
