Xinhua, January 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

The seventh Vietnam-United States Political, Security and Defense Dialogue concluded here on Friday, with a series of bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interests discussed.

The two-day dialogue was chaired by Vietnamese deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc and the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Puneet Talwar, the website of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reported on Friday.

At the dialogue, the two sides reviewed the implementation of the Vietnam-U.S. comprehensive partnership since it was established in July 2013 and discussed ways to organize commemorative activities of the 20th anniversary of the two countries' normalization in 2015.

Ngoc and Talwar also exchanged views on ways to boost Vietnam-U. S. ties in regional and international mechanisms.

The eighth Vietnam, U.S Political, Security and Defense Dialogue is scheduled to be held in Washington D.C. in 2016, the MoFA reported. Endi
